Summary: The aim of this report is to highlight the usefulness of the Making it Real framework in delivering high quality personalised services, especially for people with lifelong disabilities. Innovation in social care is frequently led by providers working with disabled people, their families and carers and the examples in the report which illustrate collaboration and inclusion are great stories, worth telling.

Summary: Finding Common Purpose is the CPA/ ADASS report, published late last year. It was designed to focus on the barriers to more productive strategic commissioning relationships, how to overcome those barriers and who might take action to improve the situation.
CPA Position Statement on Registration of Care Staff
Summary: The CPA believes that the “positive” registration of care workers would have a number of beneficial effects, including safeguarding people in vulnerable situations, facilitating speedier appointment of staff, giving some reassurance to the public and raising the status of a crucial workforce.
CQC-CPA Terms of Reference
Summary: The purpose of the working group between the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Care Provider’s Alliance (CPA) will be to provide an opportunity for the CPA and CQC to have a conversation about the strategic opportunities and challenges, and to provide the scope for testing out early thinking and ideas for promoting improvement in the sector.
